Amina Shaw-Moss LCAT, ATR
Amina's mission is to uplift and empower her clients by helping them cultivate a deeper connection to self, their loved ones and the world around them. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of free expression and creativity as tools for self-discovery and healing. Amina believes that visual art can access the deeper layers of the psyche, unlocking insights and fostering connection in a way that words alone often cannot. By integrating mindfulness and body-centered techniques, she helps her clients explore and release stored emotions, fostering a holistic path to healing.
Amina is a compassionate therapist with over eight years of supervised training and dedicated practice in Psychotherapy. She continues to serve diverse communities navigating the intersections of identity and mental health. With professional experience since 2016, Amina has worked extensively with queer, blended and foster families as well as couples from Black, Asian and Latino communities. Her initial experience started with children and teens in school-based therapy settings across Boston and New York. Her work is deeply rooted in the belief that healing occurs through the body and grows from reparative relationships. She blends somatic practices, mindfulness, and therapeutic modalities like art therapy and evidence based interventions to support individuals through life
