FAQs

  • Individual clinician's fee schedule varies depending on the type of treatment (individual adult, couples, child/teen, or family) and on session length (45 or 60 minutes). Out-of-network costs range from $189 to $325 per session, with most out-of-network insurances covering 50%-80%, depending on the plan.

Each therapist has a limited number of sliding scale slots, most often scheduled in the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. time window, which are assigned at the therapist's discretion. The intake session is slightly higher (+$50) due to the extended length and review of intake documents.

Fees are typically paid online by credit card overnight following the session.

After your first session we provide a clear, easy to read superbill including all the codes needed to submit directly to your insurance.

  • Description text goeLike many private practices in NYC, The Collaborative is an out-of-network provider. Meaning we do not accept insurance directly. However, we actively support clients who have out-of-network insurance coverage to secure reimbursement by generating a superbill which you can submit for reimbursement.

We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to assess the cost before beginning treatment.  It is very helpful to ask your insurance company the following questions:

    1. Do I have out of network coverage for mental health?

    2. What is my out of network deductible?

    3. What are the reimbursement rates for individual therapy CPT code 90834 or couples/family therapy 90847 in zipcode 10012.s here
